AOL™ Instant Messenger Direct to TTY

This is a service that requires a paid membership. With a membership, a user may place a TTY call to any number in the United States through AOL Instant Messenger™. Click HERE if you want access to this system.

Once you have access to this paid service, follow these steps to place TTY calls through AIM™:

Logon to AIM™.
Open an instant message window with screen name LormarTTY. Use screen name ThatsHamilton for all your relay calls.
Send a message to LormarTTY containing the 10 digit phone number you want to call.
Lormar's servers will respond to your message. Follow the directions contained in the response. Your TTY call will connect in seconds.
To hang up, send SKSK in a message.

Calls to relay services and international calls are blocked. Calls to 900 numbers are also blocked.
